National Parents Organization/NPO/New York
The overarching goal of National Parents Organization (NPO) is to promote shared parenting by educating parents, divorce professionals, and legislators and by reforming family courts and laws in every state. We envision a society where:
Shared parenting after separation or divorce is the norm;
Children’s natural right to be nurtured & guided by both parents is fully honored;
Society treats fathers & mothers as equally important to the well-being of their children;
Children are happier & more successful because their loving bonds to their parents are protected after parental separation or divorce; and,
The courts arrange finances after separation or divorce so that both mothers & fathers can afford to house and care for their children & themselves.
The Fathers’ Rights Movement/New York Chapter
The Fathers’ Rights Movement is a group of men and women who are committed to helping loving fathers enjoy their full rights and responsibilities, as well as helping children have their fathers in their lives. We strongly support and advocate the rebuttable presumption of 50/50 shared parenting. It is easy to blame ex-wives for the bias against fathers. The problems, however, run far deeper and are in many ways societal. Before the 1970’s, sole child custody was almost universally — and automatically — granted to the mother, especially for young children still in what were called the “tender years.” A father’s contribution to his children’s lives was thought to be largely financial. In the United States, child custody battles were virtually unheard of. Mothers got the benefit of any doubt.
Heroes for Children’s Rights
We stand for children’s rights, family reform through research, advocacy and congressional initiatives to seek justice for all. Servicemembers & Veterans for Children’s rights is an organization founded in 2021, and is devoted to passionately advocating, supporting, and helping Servicemembers, Veterans and children.
Our purpose is to focus on legislative issues relating to family issues, Servicemembers Rights, and Disabled Veterans Rights protected under the Americans with Disability Act.
The Gabriella Boyd Memorial Foundation has a mission to help educate and assist those who have struggled to have a voice in custody situations. We want to be able to help those who are struggling, to have a chance to better understand their rights and the family court system. This foundation has the help of local law enforcement, social workers, family lawyers, and community activists for parents who want to be present in their children’s lives, but are struggling, just like Stephen did, to find the necessary steps and their voice in the process.
There will be Informational seminars held quarterly to provide help to those who would like to join us. We are also involved with other foundations who also have the same goal of promoting equality in family law in order to focus on the well-being of our children.
The generous funds that are being donated to our foundation will be used to donate to charities and other organizations that are related to help bring attention to being proactive in the Family Court System, as well as child welfare. Lobbying for clear and concise language for Domestic Violence and Family Court legislation pertaining to Law Enforcement and other agencies and departments that deal with the well being and best interest of our children. In addition this foundation will not only donate but focus on assisting causes near and dear to Gabriella; including but not limited to her daycare MCNS, Speech Pathology, The Humane Society of Westchester, and more.
Gabriella’s memory will live on through our efforts and your support.
