NYCPASI, and NEW YORK FAMILIES FOR TOMORROW PRESENTS; SHARED PARENTING AND GRANDPARENTS RIGHTS DAY IN ALBANY, NEW YORK.
Albany, New York, March 15, 2022; Gathering for Shared Parenting family laws, grandparents’ rights NYCPASI, New York Families for Tomorrow, Corp and Friends of Tamika Mapp will hold a press conference at 10:00am at the State Capital Building Concourse, State St. Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12224.
Assemblymember Tom Abinanti plans on speaking to the group regarding Family law reform efforts in New York State. Currently, there are a total of four (5) Bills in both Senate and House committees. In effort to being awareness to such an important aspect of family law, the above organizations have partnered with National Parents Organization, Americans for Equal and Shared Parenting, Amazing Mothers Without Custody. The Father’s Rights Movement, and Hope 4 Families, INC. Together we share the common goal of promoting what’s truly best for families and children in New York, and providing Elected officials with recent research, data and polling that reflects a shift towards the “Whole Family Approach” post-divorce.
Our organizations bring attention to the daily injustices of family court that negatively effect children, we promote those children have loving, caring and whole relationships with both parents. We have had Shared Parenting Bills in our House for the past 10 years; Our State government refuses to acknowledge the damaging effects of archaic, sexist, and harmful family laws. We need to bring awareness to the unbalanced custody determinations, address the “Motherhood Pay Gap”, the well-being of children, and mitigate some of the negative societal outcomes we see in children from father deprived homes.
